Early Red Mark Pu-er benefited from strict control over raw material selection. Using only the finest wild Yiwu leaves, with a carefully controlled bud-to-leaf ratio and higher-grade material, combined with traditional tea-making methods and fermentation processes, these tea cakes offer a much stronger and more assertive flavor than later Red Mark versions. The tea cakes weigh 339g and 337g respectively, and have been well preserved in dry storage.
