Early Red Mark Pu-er benefited from strict control over raw material selection. Using only the finest wild Yiwu leaves, with a carefully controlled bud-to-leaf ratio and higher-grade material, combined with traditional tea-making methods and fermentation processes, these tea cakes offer a much stronger and more assertive flavor than later Red Mark versions. The tea cakes weigh 339g and 337g respectively, and have been well preserved in dry storage. This early version, featuring bold character printing, is considered the pinnacle of Red Mark Pu-er due to its exceptional aging quality and rarity, earning high praise among Pu-er collectors.
