Leitz Wetzlar rare original TROPEN (tropical) Summar 2/5cm lens No. 410367. The TROPEN Summar lenses contain a compound front-element, balsamized from two parts. The very front element seems to have been of a protective glass, especially suitable for tropical environments. Further, those lenses are slightly longer and the collapsing barrel does not show those typical arrows engraved. Instead, it carries a ball and notch kind of collapsing mechanism, as we know it from the later Summitar lenses. Optical formula B246a. In total, there do not exist more than 80 of those lenses.
