M2 Black Paint

The first batch of M2 Black Paint with button rewind knob was produced in 1958, numbers are between 948601-949100. (Please refer to James Lager Vol.I p.202 for further illustration). M2 Black Paint was ranked R7, “Exceptionally Rare”, in the Leica International Price Guide (R1-R10). However, for M2 with rewind button and without self-timer, less than 200 units were produced, they were indeed extremely rare and should be ranked the same as MP. This camera is in original black paint comes with box and camera body cap, well functioned, in mint condition. Very rare.
