Initially, Leica early MP was custom-made for a very few professional photographers and reporters in 1957. With Leicavit, the user can quickly shoot up to two frames per second without taking the camera away from eyes so that the decisive moment can be quickly recorded. Around 138 units of it were produced. The serial number starts from MP-013 to MP-150. (Please refer to James Lager Vol. I p.193 for further illustrations). This camera is made in original black paint. The serial number engraved at the bottom matches that of the body. It comes with Summicron-M 2/5cm (#1474804) Black Paint for MP and front lens cap, extremely rare.
