Leitz Wetzlar Leica M5 from the first 50 units, batch numbers 1287001 - 1287050, indicated as M5 "Null-series" in the factory records. The camera here, the very first one of this series, is the very first officially produced and serial-numbered M5. With a number of small differences in finish and engraving, compared to later series. (Please refer to James Lager Vol. I p. 243 for #1287002.) This camera has been authenticated by Lars Netopil. This camera comes with body cap and box.
