1984年，徠卡特別推出了一批R4金色特別版。機身鍍上24K金，並覆以棕色的蛇皮。此機之特別號碼為E022。套機連同金色的Summilux-R 1.4/50mm鏡頭(#3295529)，並配有包裝證書、木盒、相機帶及鏡頭前蓋，成色如新。
