This lot has been well preserved in natural to mild dry storage, with the cakes remaining intact and in good condition. Crafted using traditional pressing techniques, it offers a rich flavour accented by a distinct camphor aroma. The no-wrapper version originated when Hong Kong teahouses removed the outer paper for easier storage and sale. With most teas consumed over the decades, surviving pieces are now exceptionally rare, making this one of the most sought-after teas following the Hao Grade Pu-er.
